Wow finally can start blogging again after so long. Things have really gone so crazy in UKM. Never in my life I have so many assignments. The worst part is when you finished one and handed up and the next thing you know is that the lecturer gives you another one. Anyway, the Raya break was really something which I needed. I thank God that I had a wonderful holiday. It even come to a point that I didn't want to come back to uni also...Haha... During the holidays I met up with many of my friends, both church and school. It was really nice to get to meet up with them. The best part was also to meet my parents. Home is still best. During the holidays, I went walking with my mom and her friend. We walked in Polo Ground. While walking we saw many people flying kites and my mom suggested that we buy one and fly one too. Of course we thought it was a joke but I was wrong. My mom was serious so we really did fly a kite. It was so fun. Brings back childhood memories. I flew my first kite when I was 8 with my dad. At that time the kites were made of sticks and plastics and it always get caught up in trees or electric poles. Now kites are made of plastic frames and clothes. It was really fun. never in my life I flew a kite so high. My mom ask me to bring back to uni so that I would fly the kite to distress. So far I only did it once in uni ever since I got back. I guess I'll fly it again when all my assignments are done. Haha...
A fresh new start, awaiting to be empowered for a purposeful living...

Signal Error
Do people get the wrong signals about me when I'm being too good or kind too people? Why do people think that I'm interested in someone when I treat everyone the same? I always treat everyone nicely. I do tend to give in to people which I'm trying to learn to say no. By being kind, is that giving the wrong signals? Does that mean that I'm interested in that person? I really dont know what to do? Thanks for the comments to ask me to be myself. But when I'm being myself people may tend to get the wrong signals. So how do I get to be myself? If I set boundaries also, people will complain why I'm acting cold. I'm so lost. Really never felt like this before. Now sometimes it's so hard to be myself.

Too Kind or Too Cold
This thing has been in my mind for a very long time now. It seems very hard to differentiate them. To all who know me, am I too kind or too cold? Do tell me please so that I could change myself. I've always been friendly to people that people sometimes tell me not to be too kind. If I'm too kind people may tend to take advantage of me. So they said I should set some boundaries. But when I did that, now people saying that I'm too cold. So what should I do? When I give in to people, they said I'm being too kind. When I set certain boundaries, they said I'm too cold. So how would I know what's the difference. How can I balance the two? I don't want to be cold and also not too kind until people take advantage of me. Or should I just let be? Just continue to be old happy-go-lucky self. I need your help. Am I too kind or being too cold?
God's Many Blessings
Just last Wednesday I fell sick again. In the midst of my mid sem I fell sick. Seems to be the same every year..oh well. However, God has been faithful and He showered many blessings upon me. I came down with a flu, fever and a cough. All symptoms of H1N1. At first, I was scared. Many thoughts came through my mind. But at the back of my head I know that God will heal and protect me. Thank God is not H1N1. Just a common flu. But God bless me with many good friends. They bless me with food, fluids and medication. Too much food in fact. It can help me keep myself full for many days. Thank you all. By Friday, my fever was gone and now only
left with a stuffed nose..hehe..
.God's promises never fails...Amen!!!

Michael Learns To Rock Concert
Last weekend I got to go for the MLTR concert in Gentings. Man it was a good show. The band sang most of their old songs and some brand new songs. The nicer part was when they sang the older songs...hehe... But we had a great time singing and shouting. I went to the concert with my mom, bro, his gf and his friends. The funny part or tense part was when my bro's friend misplaced the ticket. In the end we had to buy new tickets. That thing alone caused my bro and I to fight. Maybe because I was too tired and over excited at the same time. Anyway, we let things settle down and still went for the concert. It was really awesome. I'm still waiting for the pictures taken by my bro's friend cause I don't have a digital camera so could only take pictures from afar(phone camera). The band still can play and sing. I wonder why they call themselves Michael Learns To Rock when there is no member named Michael and most of their songs are slow romantic songs and only 1 rock song...haha...anyway it was good to hear their classic songs like 'Paint My Love' and 'Sleeping Child'. All in all it was a good concert. Besides the cool breeze in Gentings was also good enough...

Happy Birthday Malaysia

Today our beloved country celebrate its 52 years of independence. Happy birthday Malaysia. I can't believe it that Malaysia is 52 years old. I thought after living together for 52 years, we all would change our mindsets. However, sadly enough we still stereotype our neighbours based on their skin colour, religion and status. How can we live as one nation when we are all trying to outdo each other or trying to get rid of each other. In my school days(make me sound so old..haha...) my friends and I could get along very well. No such things as Malays, Chinese or Indians. We were Malaysians. We played galah panjang, football, aci duduk, ice and water and all the games kids usually play. We couldnt be bothered on what race or religion, we just played and have fun. But nowadays, times have changed. I guess the advancement in technology has changed the mindsets of people. Children rather spend time on their computer than playing with their neighbours and friends. In uni, people usually hang out with their own race only. This really was a big culture shock for me. A lot of my coursemates felt weird of me that I mix with other races. Is that a crime? I've been raised like that. Besides, we are Malaysians, not Malays, Chinese and Indians. What about our East Malaysian friends? People tend to brush them off aside thinking that they are not bright or slow. I know I'm kind off criticizing Malaysia right now, but don't get me wrong. I still am proud to be a Malaysian. It's just that these are issues that are yet to be settled then in the past and now in the present. As we celebrate our 52 years of independence, let us reflect back on how our unity got us thus far. Let us stop trying to win each other but work together towards Vision 2020. We should continue to live in harmony and respect one another. We must remember that we are Malaysians, 'Satu bangsa, Satu Negara' MALAYSIA BOLEH!!! Happy Birthday Malaysia!!!

40 Days Fast and Prayer
The whole 40 days fast and prayer for our nation is coming to an end. This is my first time which I'd fasted facebook. Haha...so a thousand apologies for people who have invited me to events and added me as a friend. These 40 days have been a blessing to me and I hope that I would learn to fast and pray even more. As we have prayed for our nation, I'm sure that God hears our prayers and will heal our land. As long as we continue to intercede for our nation, God will continue to shower His blessings upon this nation. Last Thursday, my CF had Hari Doa (Prayer Day). We gathered all Christians in UKM to pray for ourselves, our uni and also for our nation. It was really a powerful night and I know that our prayers would be answered. Yesterday night we had a combine churches prayer meeting. Congregation from all churches in Kajang gathered to pray for our country. It was really good. I would like to post a picture which I took at my church. it's a painting done by an Israelian. There was no theme. He said it was up to us on how to interpret it. So I would like you all to interpret it in your own way. There's no right or wrong answers. Your interpretation need not to biblical too. Just only what you see and what's impressed in your heart. Hehe...
